Ashlea Cottages is a purpose-built ‘Clachan’ of 7 self -catering cottages established in 1981 by the Houston Family. The present owners, Gail and Tom Houston have been involved in the business for 23 years and are committed to continuing to provide good quality, comfortable accommodation at a reasonable price and to the standard of the NITB rating of 4 star which the cottages have attained since they were built in 1981.
We have 3 sizes of cottage accommodating from 4 to 8 visitors. All cottages have central heating and are fully equipped. Our prices include gas and electricity costs and we provide all bed linen and towels.

We are situated on the outskirts of Portrush, the main holiday town in the Causeway Coast area and absolutely central to the beautiful Causeway Coastal route which stretches from the ‘Maiden City’ of Londonderry (Derry) along the beautiful causeway coast through to Belfast. This route is rightly regarded as one of the top scenic drives in the world as it meanders through beautiful scenery, picturesque towns and villages and also places of great historical importance which trace the turbulent history of this part of the world from medieval times right up to the present day.
Ashlea Cottages provides excellent family accommodation and facilities. It is ideally suited to anyone wishing to ‘Bide a while’ in this beautiful area, whether to enjoy the world-class ‘links’ golf courses nearby, excellent river and sea fishing, terrific surfing at the many beautiful beaches scattered round the coast or simply relax and ‘soak up’ the scenery and history of this wonderful area.
