Dog Friendly Tours Portrush

Dog Friendly Tours are a new fun walking experience for dog owners. No matter what the weather, our four-legged friends always need to get out and about and there's no better way to do it together. The tours are light hearted fun and you willl earn about the history of the places you will visit, and chat to the locals, there are a host of dog friendly venues and cover a distance of approximatgely 5km. There are currently two tours available – The Big Woof Tour which includes a bespoke beer tasting, and the Weekend Walkies tour which is available to book at the last minute if you are visitng the area. Each venue stop on the tour welcomes dogs. The tour price includes food and beverage (Tea/Coffee/Scones/Traybakes/Guinness/Lunch with wine/Local beer/Sweet treats/ Local delicacies/Bandana and dog treats) The Big Woof Tour This tour is approximately 5 kilometres in distance covered over a 3- 4 hour period with regular stops at our venues. During the tour you will enjoy fresh scones/baked goods with tea/coffee, Guinness, snacks, a light lunch and a fantastic local brewery beer tasting. Meeting Point The tour will meet at the East Strand Car Park and will start at exactly 10:00 and will end a short distance from the car park along the promenade. At the end of the tour you will be welcome to stay on and enjoy more food, drink and craic if you wish. Your four legged friends will also enjoy a special treat at the end of the tour with plenty of watering holes en route. Weekend Walkies Tour This tour covers 5km approx and will take in 7 Dog Friendly stops. This tour includes, tea/coffee/scones/cakes, Guinness, Lunch and glass of wine, local beer, doggie bandana and doggie treats. Please call to check availability before booking online. Portrush Raft Race Weekend

The Portrush Raft Race, in aid of RNLI, is one of the most popular family fun days on the North Coast. Large crowds of spectators gather to watch as the ‘home-made’ rafts race from the West Strand beach to the finishing line in the harbour. The main event, sponsored by Ramore Restaurants, is supported by many other side attractions, including the Junior Raft Race at 10:30 and speciality stalls throughout the day. So come along, bring the family and support the Portrush Lifeboats.

Causeway Coast Ford Fair

This year celebrates the 14th Annual Causeway Coast Ford Fair, taking place on Sunday 3rd June 2018 at West Bay (also known as West Strand), Portrush. The show has become a huge visitor attraction on the Causeway Coast, showcasing a wide range of Ford classic and vintage vehicles, allowing spectators the opportunity to browse through many years of Ford heritage. The latest Ford Models are also a highlight of the event, with a full range of Ford Vehicles provided by our event sponsor TrustFord. The Causeway Coast Ford Fair hosts a trade village, selling Ford products and car-related merchandise, a food village and a children’s entertainment area, offering a fabulous family day out for everyone!

Causeway Coast Amateur Golf Tournament

The Causeway Coast Amateur Golf Tournament is the largest amateur golf tournament in Europe, held every summer on the glorious North Coast. The 2018 tournament will run from Monday 4th to Friday 8th June. The tournament is played over 4 links courses - Ballyliffin (Old Course), Castlerock, Royal Portrush (Valley Course) and Ballycastle. Entrance fees are only £80 for host club members, £170 for GUI residents and £230 for overseas visitors, including green fees.

Castlerock Clydesdale Horse Show & Fun Day

The annual Clydesdale horse show and fun day in Castlerock is an excellent day out for all the family at the seaside. The Clydesdale is one of the most beloved breeds of horse, thanks in part to its gentle nature and great strength. This is a great opportunity to get up close and see these beautiful animals in action. The main event of the day will be the horse show followed by a parade of the Clydesdales through the pretty coastal village of Castlerock. At the playing fields there will be craft stalls, a BBQ, bouncy castle, a penalty kick competition and plenty of fun activities during the event. The proceeds raised from the day will go to Marie Curie.

Salmon & Whiskey Festival

The Bushmills Salmon & Whiskey Festival was started to celebrate the local culture, heritage and produce. It is a two day event showcasing music, food, the arts and delivering a unique experience for everyone. The name came from the world renowned Bushmills Distillery and the salmon which inhabit the River Bush. The festival incorporates whiskey tasting and visitors can learn about how it is made. It also features cookery demonstrations by a celebrity chef and also local chefs with locally sourced produce. Restaurants and eateries in the village have offers promoting locally sourced salmon and/or Bushmills Whiskey as key ingredients. Enjoy live music, dance troupes, street performers, salmon station tour and much more. Naturally North Coast and Glens Artisan Market will be there on both days selling a range of handmade art, craft and local food produce. Come along, browse and get a unique gift.
