Dog Friendly Tours Portrush

Dog Friendly Tours are a new fun walking experience for dog owners. No matter what the weather, our four-legged friends always need to get out and about and there's no better way to do it together. The tours are light hearted fun and you willl earn about the history of the places you will visit, and chat to the locals, there are a host of dog friendly venues and cover a distance of approximatgely 5km. There are currently two tours available – The Big Woof Tour which includes a bespoke beer tasting, and the Weekend Walkies tour which is available to book at the last minute if you are visitng the area. Each venue stop on the tour welcomes dogs. The tour price includes food and beverage (Tea/Coffee/Scones/Traybakes/Guinness/Lunch with wine/Local beer/Sweet treats/ Local delicacies/Bandana and dog treats) The Big Woof Tour This tour is approximately 5 kilometres in distance covered over a 3- 4 hour period with regular stops at our venues. During the tour you will enjoy fresh scones/baked goods with tea/coffee, Guinness, snacks, a light lunch and a fantastic local brewery beer tasting. Meeting Point The tour will meet at the East Strand Car Park and will start at exactly 10:00 and will end a short distance from the car park along the promenade. At the end of the tour you will be welcome to stay on and enjoy more food, drink and craic if you wish. Your four legged friends will also enjoy a special treat at the end of the tour with plenty of watering holes en route. Weekend Walkies Tour This tour covers 5km approx and will take in 7 Dog Friendly stops. This tour includes, tea/coffee/scones/cakes, Guinness, Lunch and glass of wine, local beer, doggie bandana and doggie treats. Please call to check availability before booking online. Ramble with the Ranger

Set on a windswept cliff-top, with fabulous views in all directions, the 360-acre Downhill Demesne offers an invigorating setting for a guided walk. A National Trust Ranger will lead you around the Demesne, including into neighbouring Downhill Forest, the former working heart of the 1770’s designed landscape. This is an opportunity to find out more about the Demesne, past and present, as you and your fellow walkers benefit from the National Trust Ranger’s knowledge.

Malojian

A great opportunity to hear this acclaimed singer songwriter in concert. Over the last few years, Malojian has released 4 stunning solo albums, along the way collaborating with some musical legends, including Steve Albini. His latest album features Joey Waronker (Beck, REM, Atoms For Peace) on drums, and Gerard Love (Teenage Fanclub) on bass. But it's Malojian’s own voice and songs that set him apart from the crowd. This concert will feature visuals using film from Northern Ireland Screen's Digital Archive and new material by Belfast-based filmmaker Colm Laverty.

Northern Ireland Potato Festival

The NI Potato Festival celebrates the legacy of local man John Clarke OBE, a world renowned pioneer in potato breeding. The Festival line-up boasts a variety of attractions including Naturally North Coast and Glens artisan market with food and craft producers, cookery demonstrations and talks, bouncy castles, exhibitions and displays, potato inspired games and a petting farm. Cutting Edge Helicopters will be back in the air again offering spectacular helicopter sightseeing flights, and the festival organisers have launched a raffle offering a free flight for three lucky spectators. The eve of the Potato Festival will be celebrated with a ‘Super Spud Tour’ along the beautiful Causeway Coastal Route which will celebrate the area's unique potato breeding & growing heritage. This ticketed tour offered by Causeway Coast Foodie Tours will include a potato producer tour, themed lunch at one of the area’s most iconic attractions and an opportunity to enjoy a delicious cocktail featuring Ireland’s first potato distilled vodka! The Northern Ireland Potato Festival is a free event held in the region known and respected for the strength of the agricultural industry, award-winning food and drink and stunning scenery. Coleraine Spooktacular Halloween Fireworks and Entertainment

Come along and enjoy Coleraine's Spooktacular Halloween Fireworks and Entertainment. A fun event for all the family. Taking place at Council Playing Fields, Rugby Avenue there will be an Amusement Funfair from 15:00 to 22:00. There will also be a fancy dress competition with prizes (0-5 years and 6-11 years), fire poi and walkabout entertainers with music from 18:30 - 20:30 by 'The Groove Robbers'. The evenings entertainment will conclude with a spooktacular fireworks display at 20:30.

Beach Races 2018
Saturday 27th of October - Sunday 28th of October

Organised by Foyle District Motor Club at East Strand Beach, Portrush. This event will return for a second year based on the success of last year's beach races which was the first of its kind to be staged in Northern Ireland. It is expected to attract more than 100 competitors. Judging by last year's event, this free admission to spectate event will be a unique racing weekend at a spectacular and beautiful location.

Frank Vignola Trio

An unmissable chance to see the fabulous Frank Vignola Trio performing in our intimate auditorium. An extraordinarily gifted guitarist, Frank’s stellar technique and stunning virtuosity makes him the guitarist of choice for many of the world’s top musicians from Ringo Starr, Madonna, Wynton Marsalis, to the Boston Pops, and guitar legend Les Paul, who named him on his “Five Most Admired Guitarists List”. The Trio is completed by Kenneth F. Smith and Vinny Raniolo and their dynamic playing. Raniolo has featured on film and recording credits including soundtracks and on-screen appearances for HBO's “Boardwalk Empire”, Woody Allen's film “Cafe´ Society” and Martin Scorsese’s “The Irishman”, while Kenneth F. Smith is a soloist and ensemble member playing everything from solo classical guitar to theatre productions, touring in Europe and the USA as a side man and leader. He lives in New York and has performed at venues including Birdland and the Lincoln Centre, among others.
